_x000D_The package allows Saudi Arabia to purchase up to 20,000 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon Systems (APKWS) along with related equipment and warheads.
_x000D_The APKWS converts standard Hydra 70 rockets into precision-guided munitions, allowing military forces to engage targets more accurately while reducing collateral damage. BAE Systems, based in Nashua, New Jersey, will serve as the principal contractor if the sale proceeds.

_x000D_US officials said the proposed sale will improve Saudi Arabia’s ability to defend its territory against current and future threats. They also said it will strengthen military coordination between Saudi Arabia, the United States, and other regional partners.
