Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the nation to stand together against terrorism, saying Pakistan must remain united in confronting security threats allegedly supported by India.
_x000D_Speaking at the Balochistan National Workshop in Islamabad, the prime minister said the country’s enemies were attempting to destabilise Pakistan, but national unity and determination would defeat every challenge.

_x000D_Addressing participants of the workshop, Shehbaz Sharif said India’s involvement in sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan had become increasingly evident.
_x000D_He stressed that terrorism remains one of the country’s biggest security challenges and called on all institutions and citizens to work together to eliminate the threat.
_x000D_According to the prime minister, Pakistan has made enormous sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and those sacrifices must not be allowed to go in vain.
_x000D_ _x000D_Balochistan’s Role in Pakistan’s Strength
_x000D_The prime minister praised the people and leadership of Balochistan for their continued commitment to Pakistan despite numerous challenges.
_x000D_He said Balochistan has always placed national interests above personal or political considerations and played an important role in the country’s formation and development.
_x000D_Shehbaz Sharif also highlighted that Punjab had supported Balochistan through the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, adding that Pakistan’s future depends on balanced development across all four provinces.

_x000D_The prime minister confirmed that work on the Karachi-Chaman Dual Carriageway project is progressing as part of the government’s broader plan to improve connectivity and economic activity in Balochistan.
_x000D_He said improved infrastructure would strengthen trade, create employment opportunities and contribute to long-term regional development.
_x000D_ _x000D_Concerns Over Terrorism From Afghan Territory
_x000D_Shehbaz Sharif criticised the Afghan Taliban government for failing to prevent terrorist groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
_x000D_He stated that militants continue to target both civilians and security personnel despite repeated calls for stronger action from Kabul.
_x000D_The prime minister also noted that terrorism had largely been brought under control by 2018 but later resurfaced through what he described as an organised conspiracy.
_x000D_ _x000D_Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts Recognised
_x000D_The prime minister praised Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for Pakistan’s diplomatic role in helping ease tensions between the United States and Iran.
_x000D_He said Pakistan’s constructive approach to regional peace has strengthened its international standing and demonstrated its commitment to dialogue and stability.
_x000D_ _x000D_Army Reaffirms Resolve Against Militancy
_x000D_Shehbaz Sharif’s remarks came shortly after Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed the military’s commitment to defeating terrorist groups and foreign-sponsored proxies operating in Balochistan.
_x000D_During his address at the National Workshop Balochistan, the army chief said security forces, supported by the people of Pakistan, would continue operations until terrorism and its facilitators were completely eliminated.
_x000D_He also pledged a decisive response against all elements attempting to undermine Pakistan’s security, saying lasting peace in Balochistan remains a national priority.
